I woke up at 18:50; the gig was from 19:00. I jumped to my feet, hopped on my bike and pedalled furiously to Hachobori.

I slid the heavy and kind of scary soundproof door that leads to the basement of the old barber open, and sat down on the stairway. Being too hungry, I didn’t even feel like having beer.

Over soothing voices and super slick drum work, the night slipped away, and it was soon 22:30. Time to go home and sleep. This was a short, 5-hour day for me.

The photos are dark and blurry, perhaps to protect privacy ;-p

Nanahari

Started in February 2006, Nana Hari ( 七針 / .ftftftf. ) has been offering its space as a showcase for painters, sculptors, photographers, illustrators, musicians, dancers and many other types of artists to present their works to the public, especially to the other artists, and encouraging mutual support and information exchange. The activity is briefly following the principle of alternative space or artist-run initiatives, yet has been reforming to confront the present scene. Exhibitors and performers of any genre are welcome.
Music, sound and noise must not be excessively loud.
Inquire at ftftftf.com for more information.
